Legend of the Seeker

Can anyone tell me why I enjoy Legend of the Seeker so much? I told my wife last night that it was the show that I looked forward to most every week. I look forward to seeing it more that The Office, 30 Rock, Heroes, or The Ultimate Fighter.

It doesn't really have anything to do with the books (which I enjoyed for the most part), and the shows are kind of in the genre of Hercules (which was decent), and Xena (which I didn't like at all). It is also a little too family friendly for me as well (I bet that I won't have that problem with A Song of Ice and Fire if/when it comes out on HBO).

On the plus side, it is a very pretty show, and Kahlan is definately bad-ass with those knives (On a side note, maybe I would have liked Xena more if the main character had been Bridget Regan (HOT!) instead of Lucy Lawless (not-at-all hot)). The characters are all enjoyable, though I wish that Richard was more manly as he is in the books, I don't really care for him being a scrawney little neophyte.

All in all, it seems as though I would like the show, and enjoy watching it, but not that it would be my most (and pretty much only) looked-forward-to show of the week. I guess that it just has some unmeasureables that appeal to me, or perhaps I have been touched by Kahlan (just kidding babe).
